Acapulco Gold is a popular sativa strain believed to have originated from the Acapulco region of Mexico. It’s one of the oldest and most well-known of the Mexican landrace strains — achieving international recognition as early as the 1960s. It remains one of the most popular cannabis strains to this day.

The aroma of Acapulco Gold is unique from other sativa strains — it has strong base notes of burnt wood, coffee, and pine, with subtle floral top notes (mostly lilac or jasmine).

Effect Profile

Acapulco Gold contains exceptionally high levels of beta-caryophyllene — giving it potent cerebral and potentiating qualities. This is one of the main reasons why the flowers of the Acapulco Gold strain are believed to be so powerful.

This is a great strain to use in blends designed to facilitate deep thought and creativity or simply to enhance the effects of other ingredients in the formula.

FAQ

What is a Terpene?

Terpenes are small, volatile compounds found throughout the plant kingdom. If you’ve ever smelled the scent of citrus fruits, lilacs, or lavender — you’ve experienced the effects of terpenes.

There are several different types of terpenes depending on the size and shape of the molecule — each one has a unique set of effects and a distinct aroma.

How Much Should I Dilute My Terpenes?

Our products come in ultra-concentrated form. They will need to be diluted to a concentration of 5% or less in order to be used safely. Most people use a concentration between 1 and 3%, depending on the product.

Does This Blend Contain Any Additives?

No, none of our terpenes contain any added flavorings, preservatives, fillers, or cannabinoids. Just pure, unadulterated terpene concentrates.

How Long Do Terpenes Remain Viable?

Terpenes will remain active for up to 3 years if stored in a sealed container and kept in a cool, dry, and dark location.

If the bottle is opened or the storage conditions aren’t optimal, the terpenes will gradually break down over time. Terpenes don’t go bad, but they will lose some of their luster over time.

Are Terpenes Psychoactive?

Psychoactive terpenes exist, but none of the products offered on Finest Labs contains these ingredients. We also don’t sell any terpenes that contain psychoactive cannabinoids like THC or HHC either.

What Does Acapulco Gold Smell Like?

Acapulco Gold is known for its unique roasted aroma combined with hints of coffee, wood, pine, and sweet floral notes.
